Has is present tense, and used only for 3rd person singular. Has can be used as a main verb to indicate possession, or as a helper verb to indicate various tenses.
- Main verb, present tense: She has a car, and it has four seats.
- Helper verb: The weather has been good. He has written a book.
Has is also used with nouns that are plural in themselves, but that act collectively.
The team has a good chance of winning tonight.
